These days Karl-Marx-Straße, Neukölln’s beloved/notorious strip of gambling places and discount stores, has one more highlight. Local designers organized in the NEMONA fashion network are presenting their work at a temporary store.
Until December 1st, Neukölln’s young designers are exhibiting and selling locally designed and produced fashion at a temporary Concept Store, using the space of a former bank right next to Stadtbad Neukölln. The clothes are presenting a unique overview of contemporary fashion design in Neukölln that is as diverse as the district itself.
The Concept Store is a joint action of the local fashion network NEMONA, the district’s administration and the city management that aims at transforming the perception of Karl-Marx-Straße, improving local businesses and increasing the visibility of creative industries in Neukölln.
Stop by at the Concept Store on Saturday 12/11/24 for a designer casting. The winners will participate in a show at the Berlin Fashion Week in January 2013.
